CELEBRATING 100 YEARS

Our celebration day kicks off with a dress up, inspired by the pioneer days. The children look fantastic and are eagerly anticipating the in-school fete later on in the day.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK

Thank you to Gabriella and her family for the work they have done with creating The Hulk for our fete stall. The board is truly incredible and very detailed. Our fete stall has relied heavily upon the kindness and support of families. I’m sure that the children will have a great time throwing water-bombs at the teachers come Thursday.

“It was a lot of fun creating the Hulk with my family. My uncle had the job of doing the artistic bits and I’m sure you would agree that he is a very good Artist. I’m hoping that everyone will like the board on the day.” - Gabby

LUNCH TIME ART

Mini-artists are encouraged to visit the Art-room at lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I like visiting because we get to be creative with our mind. Last week we were doing screen printing, the reason being is because Miss Randall would like a faction t–shirt for the faction carnival. We had to use a special kind of paint, (it is not really paint, but more like a permanent marker). It was fun doing the screen printing and the finished t-shirt looks better than what I had imagined. So which faction does Miss Randall go for? You’ll just have to look for the t-shirt on the day and find out.

STUDENT COUNCILLORS
Congratulations to Gabriella and Aaryan for being elected as Room 22's Student Councillors for the semester. You both are very deserving of the role and responsibilities.

“It has been amazing being a Student Councillor because you get to know the responsibilities, you get to do extra jobs and it feels good. We were elected by the members of our class after delivering a speech. It is a great privilege.”

“Being a Student Councillor is fantastic! There’s a lot of responsibilities that come with being a Student Councillor like watering the garden, which is my favourite. Like Gabby said, you get extra jobs and it feels good. It is great that anyone could be a Student Councillor, so my advice is to have a go.”

CARTER & CARTER
The children really enjoyed the Carter & Carter concert today. The Year 5's and 6's worked with the musicians in the morning to create a song that commemorates Wattle Grove's 100 years. After recess, some Year 4 students were lucky enough to learn the song and presented it to the school in the afternoon. Besides the school song, some other favourites amongst the crowd were 'We are Australian' and 'Hokey Pokey.' Thank you to Mrs Robeson for organising the incursion,
