ANZAC DAY

Two weeks before ANZAC Day, Wattle Grove commemorated the occasion with their very own service held on Friday, 8th April. Two gentlemen, Warrant Officer John Evans (member of the Australian Defence Force) and Mr Wayne Loughrey, (President of the Returned Serviceman's League of Kalamunda) spoke at the service. We also had a number of outstanding wreaths made and laid by Wattle Grove representatives, the P & C and other people from our school community. The choir sang some remarkable songs such as 'Lest we Forget.' Some senior school children were selected to read out the letter or poem that they had created in class. Both Nikola and Kallaghn were two students from Year 5 who read their work out brilliantly. We believe that it was a wonderful ceremony.

Well done to both Nikola and Kallaghn who read their poems out and spoke so well.

Our wreath bearers, Ryan and Roshini, with buddies from Room 22.
